Dalmarnock Quarter also benefits from immediate access to a main bus route, while the M74 is just a short drive south. For those who prefer to travel actively, cycling is one of the fastest ways to get around the city. The Clyde Walkway — a scenic 40-mile network of cycle and footpaths — is nearby and connects directly to the routes through Cuningar Loop and Glasgow Green. Follow the network all the way, and you’ll reach Loch Lomond in just over two hours…if you’re fit enough!

Dalmarnock has become a hub for fitness – a legacy of the facilities created for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The Emirates Arena – complete with a gym, swimming pool and five-a-side football pitches – and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome remain major city landmarks and are actively used by the community every day. Independent gyms and CrossFit centres are also located throughout the surrounding area, but for residents of Dalmarnock Quarter, you need only cross the street to Omnigym to stay on top of your fitness goals.
